Design

Our team took a deliberate and continuous path toward exceptional design from the outset of the project. We set out to create an entirely new ‘envelope’ around the building in order to make use of the existing structure, leave an exceptionally small environmental footprint, and create a modern world-class design.

In order to maintain stunning light and views, and yet become incredibly energy efficient, seven different materials make up the surfaces of the outer walls. We included four types of glass, solid aluminum, and a planted green wall on the eastern face. The façade design obscures the ‘loft’ column grid visible on similar re-habilitated buildings. All of the elements of the building’s skin reflect light differently resulting in a striking Jewel Box.

This attention to detail continues through every element inside. Our best-in-class apartment layouts are incredibly thoughtful and ergonomic. Custom features that can only be found in a Post Brothers apartment include custom-designed hidden loft staircases.

The design of nearly every component in the building is sourced from local manufacturers and artists including sophisticated cabinetry; first-rate overhead lighting, and luxurious materials at every turn.

Engineering

We are proud to offer the most rigorously planned and best executed apartment building in Philadelphia. Here are just a few highlights among the engineering feats at Goldtex:

The Goldtex heating and air conditioning system sets the “gold standard” for energy use and indoor environmental quality. This system utilizes the highest-rated equipment available, allowing each room to be at a different temperature. Through a complex process, waste heat is recycled for maximum efficiency. Unlike other new apartment buildings, extra attention is paid to the comfort inside the apartments with ultra-quiet equipment, offering evenly distributed draft-free air.

A brand new, hyper-efficient exo-skeleton, and wind-generated energy combine to protect our atmosphere. Six inches of new insulation has been installed over the existing concrete skeleton. Heat-blocking glass in all openings, including Solera glass, enhances natural light distribution. The living green wall on the eastern façade further enhances environmental quality.

Live in quiet comfort with a solid concrete structure, sound-attenuating floor underlayment, and natural hardwood flooring over high-density subflooring. Further increasing privacy are extra thick walls with sound-attenuating insulation between all apartments and common area hallways .Tempered double-pane windows in ‘curtain wall’ frames provide superior wind insulation. All utility shafts utilize dampers, helping to maintain privacy for you and your neighbors.

I moved into the Rittenhouse Hill Apartments a couple of weeks ago and I absolutely LOVE IT!! My apartment is amazing! The views are stunning and all of the fixtures and finishes are modern and high end. The shower and deep soak tubs have these amazing multi spray showers heads and the kitchen has a great dishwasher plus enough drawers for all of my appliances, pots & pans and dishes. I also have a washer and dryer in my very own unit. No more looking for quarters for me!! I was concerned about living in such a large building that is still undergoing construction but the double paned windows and the thick walls seem to be pretty much sound proof. I opted for the garage parking so I won’t have to be bothered to shovel any snow this winter and it has really helped keeping my car cool since it has been so hot this summer. The sta_ is really helpful and friendly and they have been very quick in helping me resolve any minor issues I may have. The only complaint I could have with the building is that there is hard water but with so many positives who cares? This apartment is an entertainers dream!

I really like Rittenhouse Hill. The sta_ and security have always been friendly and helpful to me. If I ever have problems or maintenance requests I hear back within 24 hours and the problems are taken care of right away. With the gated community and the 24 hour security, I’ve never felt unsafe. The building is being renovated and is, therefore, currently under construction; the actual “xtures and materials in the “nished apartments are absolutely beautiful. All of the apartments have state-of-the-art high e_ciency everything, a HUGE bathtub, and stainless steel appliances in the kitchen.

I am completely new to PA and moving to Philadelphia was so important but at the same time i was so skeptical. When I was shown this apartment by the Rental Agent I was so impressed that i signed the lease right away. The security system of the apartment is very good, it is a gated apartment community, it has a reception and the security system even to enter into the apartment. The apartment is a new construction and has all brand new infrastructure , new utilities, new #ooring, new carpets, its awesome!!! The people who work for the apartment are very cooperative, understanding and available at all times. The train station is just a block away, grocery stores, salons and malls are in close proximity. What more can you ask for when you are home away from your home. I have recommended this apartment to my friends and co-workers and will recommend you too...this is the place you wanna be safe, secure and peaceful :)

Holy View! With a_ordability in mind -- I relocated from Ardmore In July of 2012. After several disappointing showings, I moved into Rittenhouse Hill and honestly I couldn’t ask for a more stylish, modern, clean apartment with an amazing view for this price. Spending the last two weekends helping my girlfriend “nd a new place has further opened my eyes as to how lucky I was to “nd this place. Everywhere we have looked has been for the most part a huge let down. The pictures never live-up to the real thing. Not here. Everything is brand new which is perfect for the resident looking to make a fresh start.
